Obesity and veins: Obesity and varicose veins is not a contraindication to working out and yoga. In fact, exercise is good for improving venous return which will reduce the venous pressure. Cardio exercises such as spinning, elliptical, biking and stair climbing are better for the veins than pounding exercises such as running.
