A member asked:

Any long term studies on lasik? had it done and i'm freaking out a bit because not sure what will happen in 20 years! how do you feel about it?

After Lasik: The long term stability of lasik depends somewhat on the initial correction. Anything with high amounts of myopia may need an enhancement after 9-12 years compared to those with lower prescriptions.

Probably fine: Long term studies have shown lasik to be pretty stable over a long period of time on appropriate candidates. More variability over time in patients with very high prescriptions.
