Depends: There can, indeed, be regression years after successful lasik. A lot depends on the stability of your refraction. That's why it's usually recommended that your refraction be unchanged on consecutive annual visits before pursuing lasik. From early 20s to early 40s tends to be the time of greatest stability, but it can vary widely.

Lasik: In young patients with extensive near work, a small amount of recurrence of myopia may occur. If enough to decrease uncorrected vision, an enhancement may be considered.
