Most likely: If it is a medical necessity, then insurance companies would be more likely to cover it than if it was for cosmetic correction.

Check with carrier: Insurance plans come in all shapes and sizes. If you have an agent, put him to work on finding out for you or your human resources representative. If you self purchased your plan, then you will most likely have to do the leg work on this. Major medical is the first place to get started. If you have dental insurance it will probably only cover a small portion in most cases. Good luck.

Probably not: Dental braces for adults, no matter the reason, is usually not covered by dental insurance. "medical necessity" is not a mitigating factor. Ask your hr office, your insurance agent, and your orthodontist to help you seek coverage. If the broken jaw was caused by someone else, their insurance may help cover your rx.

Sometimes: Check with your insurance carrier, and talk to your dentist, orthodontist, oral surgeon and see if they are willing to write you a narrative and you can get a pre-auth determination.
