Personal: It is very personal and also depends on what your MRI showed. Talked to your surgeon and ask him: can you improve without surgery?

Click? Repeat MRI.: It is possible that the tfcc tear healed on its own with conservative treatment but the only way to know this is to repeat the mri. You may want to contact your surgeon. However, these injuries tend to be present for several months prior to diagnosis and if it had of healed by then, iris unlikely it would have healed after that.

Maybe?: Tfcc tears are very slow to heal, but they do sometimes settle down and don't really bother you. So that is the question? If the pain occurs only once a month or so and you can avoid lifting activity that hurts, then you may want to wait a few months more to see if it will get better. If it hurts once a week, then i would probably go ahead with the surgery. The recovery can take 2-3 months.
