Speech delay?: If she recognizes, says all alphabets, counts up to ten & says some words she is smart, not to worry. Your child doesn't have speech delay. One common cause of speech delay is poor hearing. Recurrent ear infection, fluid in middle ear, positive f/h, use of some medicines in neonate cause hearing loss. If very concerned, check with pediatrician whether she passed hearing test.
