Medical evaluation: Severe anxiety in a teenage female first benefitted by a general medical evaluation and blood tests. Care must be taken to rule out mitral valve prolapse which is highly associated with panic attacks, & one manifestation of this is a systolic murmur. This condition seems to be more frequent in women with joint hypermobility syndrome (jhs). See the brighton criteria for jhs. Valerian root herb?

ADHD: I would recommend a consultation with a clinical psychologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of adhd. Medication may be necessary but many people learn certain techniques to increase concentration and do not find medication necessary. Best wishes.
