Pretty good: Infra red coagulation is very good for small bleeding internal hemorrhoids. In our office it is a little less expensive than hemorrhoid banding.

See below: Bipolar, infrared and laser coagulation are generally effective for treatment of grade 1 and grade 2 hemorrhoids. It may be associated with higher recurrence rate compared to rubber band ligation, but with fewer side effects. Other options include sclerotherapy, open/closed surgical excision and stapled hemorrhoidectomy. Surgical intervention is usually more expensive than an office procedure.
