Dr. Kovatch is originally from Moldova. She immigrated to the United States in 1995. She attended Brooklyn College and received a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry. She attended medical school and surgical residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Presently she is working as a general surgeon in a private practice - Peconic Surgical Group - on the east end of Long Island.
