Elevated LDH…: Can have multiple causes: anemias, liver disease, pancreatitis, infectious mononucleosis (epstein-barr virus), heart ischemia/attack, low blood pressure… since "all else is normal" your doc may want an ldh isoenzyme test & a detailed personal history to narrow down the possibilities.

Yes: As elevated a level of ldh as you have, should be resolved first by repeating the test, first thing in the morning, without exercising and in fasting state. If still elevated, it is an indication of cell/tissue destruction, e.g., red cells, muscle, liver etc and would need to be investigated further. Subtypes of ldh can point to specific tissues that may be affected.
