Ablation as cause?: Not an invasive cardiologist but cardiac muscle tissue does contain LDH. When they do the ablation they burn some of that tissue which would release LDH into the blood stream, causing increase in serum LDH. How much and for how long it would stay elevated I cannot say, with MI 5-10 d. An isoenzyme study to see what types of LDH are elevated may give some clue to where it might be coming from.
