List: 1. Immobilze the bone and joint above and below it 2. Elevate and ice initially 3. Reduce the bone (straighten them out) 4. Use pain as your guide as to when to put weight on or use the extremity that is injured (crutches for an ankle) 5. Get to a doctor ;-).
