How long do bone bruises of the ankle take to heal... i've been out of work now 3 weeks...but injury happened 4/27/13.doc wants to give it more time.

Ankle bone bruise: Sorry to hear. Generally, i'd recommend 2 months of recovery for a bone bruise although some people may take longer or shorter. Sometimes the swelling associated with this injury can take up to a year. Hope that helps.

Usually: Most bone bruises are healed in 3-4 weeks. If you didn't have an MRI or ct scan you might want to get those done. There could be more than contusion.
