Ankle Fracture: Sorry about your accident. Although it's a stable fracture to your outside ankle bone (lateral malleolus), it may take several months for swelling to dissipate due to healing. Bone takes about 2 months to appear healing on xrays, but can take several weeks more. To help with recovery, make sure you get proper nutrition, don't smoke, and don't drink alcohol (it's a toxin). Hope that helps!
