A member asked:

If you take aspirin, will it protect against bloood clots while on birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A little bit...: The pro-coagulant effect of estrogen in bcp is very complex and platelet aggregation that is inhibited by Aspirin is only one facet. If you smoke, quitting is the most important thing you can do to reduce risk of clot if you take bcp. Also use the lowest dose pill you can. Keep your weight normal.
