5 weeks post op for hip arthroplasty and currently taking aspirin 81mg. also started having a diverticulitis flare. is it bad to be taking the aspirin during a flare? i take it to prevent blood clots but only for another week?

The aspirin you are taking is a low dose. Are you seeing any blood in your stools? You should call your surgeon and let him/her know about the diverticulitis flare. If you are seeing any blood in your stools, it is possible the aspirin will need to be stopped. If not, you may be able to continue for another week but it is up to your surgeon to make that decision. Good luck!
