A member asked:

What are some possible reasons that my jaws make a popping sound while eating?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Jaw popping: You are probably having the popping come from the tempromandibular. You are probably gritting your teeth and have caused a mild subluxation of the tempromandibular joints when you open your moouth wide. You should try to reduce stress and gitting. Try a soft diet for a week or two and try limiting how wide you open your mouth. Avoud chewy foods, hard candies or pretzels.
