When i chew, my jaw sounds like it is popping, what could cause this? how do i correct or fix this? i have never had issues withy my jaw before this

See your dentist: This is likely an issue with your bite and may possibly mean you have a grinding issue. Popping and clicking is not normal and means there is damage in your jaw joint. See your dentist and likely an orthodontist to see about correcting your bite and/or fitting you with a splint or night guard.

TMJ disc problem: The popping of the jaw joint (TMJ) is not normal, however many people have it. It is because of the mal-position of the disc in the joint. If left untreated, it may advance to locked jaw. You need to be evaluated & probably fit for a nightguard.

TMJ: TMJ problem. See TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
