No: Clicking and popping sounds that dont cause pain are nothing to be alarmed about. This is usually tissues rubbing causing a sound or a tendon or ligament rolling over a bony edge making a snapping sound. Painful clicking or popping is a sign of potential meniscus tears or cartilage tears, tissue overgrowth, scar tissue bands, loose cartilage pieces and should be checked by your orthopaedic doc.
