My knee is clicking and locking... mri says no new tear after many meniscectomys.. it is possible the tear was missed. it hurts really bad.

Clicking/locking: "sounds" more like post opertive/traumatic arthritis/tendonitis. I suggest repeat orthopedic exam and possible cortisone injection. The clicking and locking are symtoms of underlying pathology.

Yes: Yes it is possible a meniscus tear can be “missed” on mri, especially if you have had previous knee surgeries. It is also possible (even likely) that your symptoms may be coming from something else. Chondromalacia is a fairly common cause. Don’t hesitate to discuss with your surgeon.
