If it causes symptom: Clicking in the knees is common, and you will see that question even in other posts on this site. If it is painless, and does not cause locking or catching, or other mechanical symptoms, then it can be benign. If symptoms exist, then warrants an evaluation. But most frequently the clicking is not problematic and not symptomatic.

Many knees click through different parts of the normal range of motion. If your clicks are associated with pain or blockage of motion, then the click can be pathological and evaluation by an Orthopaedic surgeon is appropriate.
