A member asked:

For uedvt, is warfarin the only option? i've heard of some new ones...pradaxa? also, is heparin and lmwh as effective as these pill forms?

UEDVT: There are new drugs, pradaxa, rivaroxaban and apixaban which are approved for ledvt, they could be tried for ue. I haven't seen any ue studies with them. Heparin forms are effective.
