Oxygen: I understand that you only lung has 70% oxygen capacity, but what we really need to know is the degree of your blood oxygenation or commonly known as pulse oxymetry reading (puls ox). Sometimes people with a single lung have enough blood oxygen saturation to get by. If your saturation is below 88% in case of chronic lung disease, you will need supplemental oxygen.
