How low?: How much you should take depends on what other medical conditions you have going on and how closely you are being monitored by a health care practitioner. A safe amount would be 2, 000 units a day, but i sometimes put people on more than that if I am going to be checking their vitamin d levels in a month or so. There are some people who should not take d, so check with your doctor.
