A member asked:

What options do you have to correct scoliosis at the age of 25?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Everything but brace: Bracing is ineffective after bone growth has completed. So, that leaves nonsurgical for curves below 50-60 degrees that are balanced. Remember, scoliosis is not typically painful unless curve magnitude is >30-50 deg lumbar or >50-70 deg thoracic or imbalanced (head not aligned with pelvis). In those cases, the only option is surgical correction. Ant/posterior or both depends on curve stiffness.
