Hoping you can tell me, is therapist allowed to prescribe things other than antidepressants?

Psychiatrists can Rx: Psychiatrists are physicians who are trained in treating mental conditions. Psychiatrists usually do therapy and prescribe medications. Psychiatrists can and do prescribe medications other than antidepressants such as anti-psychotic meds, mood stabilizers, anti- anxiety medications and others. Sometimes multiple medications are indicated and sometimes just psychotherapy alone is required.
