One by one: Each person is different and each patient should receive an individual evaluation with recommendations that are specific for them. Some types of depressions usually don't require medication and therapy is the treatment of choice. Some people with depression should get on antidepressants as soon as possible and would also benefit by therapy. Still others may respond well to medication alone.
