Contact Psychiatrist: Any negative side-effect like this should be reported right away. The goal is to make you well and help you function and if your medication does not do that either the dosage is too low or it isn't the correct medication for you. There are many options for antidepressants and all have different side-effects on each individual - yout psychiatrist will be able to find the best drug combo for you.

Some meds sedate: There are many antidepressants. Though they have all have effectiveness each is different in several ways including side effect profile. Speak to the doctor. For example: it may be necessary to change medication, how and when you take prescribed meds or in some cases the side effect lessen with time. You and your doctor are best suited to review your situation and develop share cared plan.
