PEDIATRICIAN: 1st have a physical exam by a Pediatrician to rule out a physical problem. If cleared, please consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help your child with ZOOM. With psychotherapy he can find better coping mechanisms for dealing with stress. Medication can be helpful prescribed by a Psychiatrist, and perhaps a sleep study.

Yes: It's time for either a psychiatrist or therapist as his symptoms are very suspicious for an anxiety disorder. Something is bothering this child, and until you identify what it is, nothing is going to change. Time to get professional involvement.
