Why: I am not sure what the rationale behind calcium and vitamin d supplementation in your case. In healthy males, no routine calcium supplementation is recommended. Vitamin d in general us population tends to be lower than normal due to lack of unprotected sun exposure. I would look into supplementing vitamin d potentially especially if the levels are known to be low, but not with calcium.

Don't take calcium: Studies in men show that calcium supplements significantly increase the risk of heart disease secondary to the calcium causing calcification of arteries. Get your calcium from unsweetened almond milk and if you want dairy, from low-fat dairy products with no added sugar. For vitamin d, get 15-30 minutes sun a day. If not possible, 600 iu vitamin d (without calcium) should suffice.
