See a psychiatrist.: Anxiety can cause chest pains which is often felt like a heart attack. Benzodiazepines should be used short term for anxiety attacks , usually while waiting for antidepressant to work. When appropriate medication is used alongside psychotherapy( cbt), the combination works better. Ask pcp to refer to a psychiatrist.

Relax and meditate!: Too often we rush to medicate when we do not feel well. That sometimes only makes things worse, as we sit with fear and anxiety, wondering if it will work. How about sitting quietly, breathing deeply, acknowledging your pain, then letting it go! pain is a message from body to mind, saying, slow down, be mindful. It is not a threat, so make friends with those symptoms, and release them.
