About
Bio
I started out as an Early Childhood Educator, going from Nursery school to kindergarten to college professor. While raising my kids, it gave me a certain flexibility. When I received my PH.D. from the University of Chicago, my Mentor, Erica Fromm started sending me clients. I also co-wrote a number of articles on Hypnotherapy with her. Another great Mentor was Bernice Neugarten, who pioneered the field of adulthood and aging. At a time when women's options were limited, these two incredible scholars and educators taught me that nothing is impossible. When I wasn't busy dealing with my 4 sons and my work, we traveled the world, explored the oceans scuba diving, grew trees on our farm in Wisconsin and gardened. My husband was a Psychiatrist, so we had a great professional as well as personal relationship. Even though most of my peers are retired, I still get too much satisfaction from my work to quit.
