Drooling & Clozapine: Drooling is a known side effect of Clozapine and it may be dose-related -- meaning that you & your doctor can discuss whether a lower dose of Clozapine will still protect you from psychotic symptoms. If so, this may help the drooling go away. If this isn't feasible, your doctor can also consider medicines to combat this: clonidine, benztropine, amitriptylene, & terazosin are a few options.

Clozapine: Sialorrhea (excessive drooling) can occur in 30 to 80% of people taking clozapine. It may not decrease. Although usually dose independent, lowering dose may decrease sx. Atropine or Glycopyrolate may help. Tell your dr. if it is causing gagging. REF: https://www.thenationalcouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Clozapine-Webinar-3-.pdf?daf=375ateTbd56
