I left risperdal for clozapine because of elevated prolactin. the problem is the infernal drooling! please is there any other antipsychotic not increase?

Side effects: You might be able to lower the dose once you have stabilized on clozaril (clozapine). Usually, once a doctor has recommended you to try clozaril (clozapine), it's a good idea to you give it a good try for 3 to 6 months.

Side Effects.: Clozapine is usually only used if you have refractory conditions like Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder or Bipolar I Disorder. Talk to your doctor about atropine or other anti-drooling medications or dose reduction before quitting on this medications. Since Clozapine can cause drooling in up to 80% of patients - there are many other second generation antipsycotics that could be considered.
