Go get examined: It is important that this get examined and the doc will probably order xrays to rule out a fracture. That's the only way you will know. Don't delay proper treatment if you want to get back to dancing :-).

Need x-ray: The only way to tell is to have an x-ray taken.

Yes: Small no displaced fractures may have minimal swelling or non. Displaced fractures usually have swelling and sometimes visible deformity in addition to pain. Need avoiding weight and immobilization pending x - ray.
