Elevate foot: Elevation of the foot higher than you heart usually will reduce the swelling of a fracture. If it worsens despite this seeing your doctor is a good idea, the cast may be too tight or there is a possibility you have a blood clot. It is not unusual to have reduced mobility of the toes after a foot fracture and often requires physical therapy to get them moving normally again.

Cast removal: You may need to see your doctor to get the cast removed for inspection and further imaging. Tightness after a cast for 3 weeks is unusual, as swelling usually goes down inside a cast. Is your calf swollen or painful? Again, is advise getting that cast off for inspection and into a cam boot.
