How can i fix chronic foot and ankle swelling 1 year after metatarsal stress fracture? i wear a 20-30 mm hg knee sock daily and exercise 8 hrs/wk.

Determine the ethiol: First the ethiology of the swelling need to stablish may not have anything to do with the stress fx.And it could be that the force needed to stop the swelling will require higher mm hg.

Swelling: Ankle swelling is a bit unusual for a stress fracture - but you didn't say where the stress fracture is either. See your podiatrist for assistance and treatment. Good luck.

Swelling: The cause of the swelling needs to be determined. Stress fractures may create some residual swelling, but your local doctor should exam you. The compression rating for the stocking may be too low as well.
