See a nutritionist : At 17 you may not have reached your full bone height. Your diet should focus on a variety of foods, including protein and some fat. It is a matter of taking in more calories than you use. You may find it somewhat challenging to gain weight if you limit sugar and fat . I suggest you take a 3 day diary of your food intake to a nutritionist for consultation.
