Eat healthful foods!: Just because a food is vegetarian does not mean it is healthy- sodas, french fries & candy are vegetarian. Encourage a wide array of vegetables, fruits & whole grains, preferably organic, and ensure adequate protein from eggs, beans, nuts, seeds & dairy. Minimize fried foods and genetically-modified foods. See my link for a good article by pediatrician bob sears on 12 faq's about vegetarian diets:.
