Everybody different: There are many variables that your doctor would want to take into account such as other meds that you are taking especially other benzodiazepines, your medical health, your response to medication, advisability for you of using a dedicated sleep medication such as ambien, (zolpidem) seriousness of your situation. Usually lorazapam 2 mg by itself might nudge someone to sleep but isn't a usual sleep medication.
