Paradoxical effect: You benefitted briefly from the sedating effect before the paradoxical disinhibition with agitation set in and now you are left in a mental cloud hangover because of the dose. It should pass within a few more hours.Take care.

Lorazapam: I understand your stress at work. Lorazapam is not a sleep medication. It is anti-anxiety medication. Average dose of Ativan (lorazepam) for anxiety is 1mg lorazapam 2mg. Most likely caused agitation and fog. Please see a psychiatrist for evaluation and follow up.
