Yes, you will: Your withdrawal will be in the form of rebound insomnia. My recommendation would be to lower it down under your doctors care for about a month at 0.5 mg at bedtime and then it could be stopped at that point but you must realize that you may need to replace it with something else for the insomnia, such as trazodone.

Maybe: The good thing is that you have taken Lorazepam at bedtime for 6 years without developping tolerance. Ambien (zolpidem) can cause tolerance. Much faster. Consider trazodone or low dose Remeron that are not addictive and help sleep and anxiety.
