A member asked:

I have taking hiv test on 1, 7, 10 and 12 months marks, result non reactive, but symptoms prolonged, include white tongue. are those test conclusive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes. : These test results indicate that you do not have hiv. The usual cause of a white tongue is crud on the back; have you tried getting it off running dental floss across it? This is not HIV -- the white tongue sometimes seen in these cases is a distinctive lesion "hairy leukoplakia" which happens late in the infection. If you have an obsessive idea you have hiv, your doctor can treat this.
