Cavus vs. Cavovarus : Most people with cavus foot type will have an inverted rearfoot however there can be a neurological condition (such as cmt) which may cause a hiked up midfoot, plantarflexed 1st metatarsal and ray and severe rigidity of joints with muscle spasms in the lower legs and feet. This foot position will be rectus transversely but severely malpositioned in the sagittal plane. Cb test irrelevant here.

Not necessarily: Positive test in cavus requires the the hindfoot to be supple (not fixed) and the varus of the heel due to an supination deformity of the forefoot.
