What tests can diagnose heart valve problems? i had an echo-stress test-and wore a monitor....would that clear someone in the okay?

Echocardiogram: The ultrasound would diagnose most if not all valvular problems. If it is normal, then it should be reliable.

Echo: Echo will help identify valvular abnormality, could show vegetations , estimate cardiac output and ventricular wall thickeness. The holter monitor will check for cardiac rythm and rate abnormalities. Stress test will check for heart ekg abnormalities under stress. However. If you continue to have cardiac symptoms despite these tests been normal, cardiac cath may be appropriate.
