Have a medical check: If this pain is persisting for more than 1-2 weeks and is getting worse, then further testing is indicated. This should include a medical check up by your doctor who may order appropriate tests to find the cause of your pain. A chest x-ray is the simplest first test. If needed, a ct scan may be the next best test. Bones in the chest, left shoulder area can be another source of pain/should be check.
