Pinched nerve: This could be a pinched nerve that emanates from the spine and causes radiation of discomfort around the rib cage and can be a sharp,shooting discomfort at times worsened with a deep breath. Sometimes the pinching is between two ribs under the breast. Most of the time the problem resolves without any specific treatment. See your physician if symptoms persist.
