No....: The black flecks can be food related or blood related. You can have three separate stools guaiac tested as well. Take a look at diet and see what might me being digested and possibly then appearing as black flecks...Also could this 2 year old have eaten something like crayons that might be doing this?

Consider dark green: The main colorizing agent of the poo is bile, the material that comes from the liver as it breaks down the many materials discarded by the body. It starts out as an ultra dark green material and when added to the poo will stain the items in it.If the item is further attacked by gut germs it can proceed through lighter green/yellows and brown.If not it stays dark green.
