Light snack: A light snack of fresh fruit, nuts, whole grain cereals, low fat milk products will be okay. Make sure that you are properly hydrated.

Protein and water: Protein is needed after training to help build and repair muscles, water is needed for hydration. If a lot of calories were expended, you may need to replace glycogen that was used from the muscles. This can be replaced slowly by complex carbohydrates.

Balanced meal: Depending on how hard you exercise you may need to replace glycogen (sugar) stores so about 30-40 grams of complex (low glycemic index) carbohydrates would be good. Even more importantly you should eat a good protein with healthy fats. Those are needed to rebuild your muscles and enzyme systems.
