Restylane (dermal fillers): Studies show that Restylane (dermal fillers) will last about 8 months in the nlf's. However, if you get half the amount injected again at 4-6 months, it will last 18 months--like topping off the tank.

Collagen stimulation: There is experimental evidence that injected Restylane (dermal fillers) can stimulate production of native collagen at the site of injection. This may sometimes augment the result from the injection for a longer period of time.

About a year: Medicis says it last up to 1 year. In my experience, they are accurate, but it really depends on the patient. I've seen it last longer, but not much...2-3 months. I've also seen it last 9-10 months. This was only is a patient who spends 7 days in the gym working out and teaching spin classes and "boot camp" aerobics. I used Restylane (dermal fillers) on her last time and its been over 18 months.

Wide range: The Restylane (dermal fillers) injected into each patient is the same, the variable is your body. The depth of the fold, the strength of the muscle, the ability of your skin to absorb hyaluronic acid , all effect how long Restylane (dermal fillers) lasts. For some a few months. For others a year. If it only lasts a week, you did not get enough filler to do the job, and the improvement was due to Restylane (dermal fillers) plus swelling.

Up to 18 months: Everyone is a little different, but Restylane, (dermal fillers) when injected properly, can last up to 18 months. It depends on how fast you reabsorb the HA and how much you move your face when you talk, smile, etc. http://www.omahacosmeticsurgery.com/non-surgical-procedures/injectables/
